Flat pressing
A flat heated head or platen closes onto a supported work surface. The full area is pressed at once, so parallelism, platen flatness, fixture support and pressure distribution are central.
- Best suited to genuinely flat or well-supported surfaces.
- Large areas magnify small errors in level and part thickness.
- A moving table can improve loading clearance without changing the basic contact method.
